The Deer Creek Kennels is located in the Town of Oak Grove and West Carroll Parish in the Northeast corner of Louisiana.  This is where Deer Creek heads up and slowly meanders to the southwest.  This family-owned and operated farm has been located here since the early 1900's.

As a teen in 1969, owner/operator, Dennis Seamans began raising German Shepherds as a hobby.  "Intrigued by their loyalty and love for a caring home, this breed is still a major part of our family and home today."

Like many young men in the south, hunting is a way of life and a passion.  I began raising Beagles and Fox Hounds.  The hunt was on!  Captivated by the sounds of the race helped feed my passion and enjoyment to not only compete but to be the best that I could be with others.  Whether sitting by a midnight campfire listening to the charge of twenty or so hounds in pursuit of a fox or coyote or seated on a truck tailgate as a pack of small Beagles worked the trail of a cotton-tail or much larger swamp rabbit, my love, passion and appreciation for animals grew.

My knowledge base for the care and needs of champion bloodlines also grew.  This has played an important part of the success of our family business!  Whether you long to invest in a competitor or a family pet, the care, compassion and love at The Deer Creek Kennels are the same, matched only by a few.

These dogs are great companions as well as family dogs.
